Expand Your Practice by Working Virtually as a Substance Abuse Evaluator
New Directions is seeking to contract with qualified Clinical Evaluators interested in expanding their practice or filling up open schedule capacity. New Directions has been providing high-quality virtual assessments for over a decade. As an independent contractor, you will be able to determine your own workload with ultimate schedule flexibility.
Job Description
- Set availability on the USCA client calendar
- Review client screening instruments and/or collateral information provided via the USCA website
- Conduct a 30-75 minute clinical interview
- Compose a concise court-ready clinical report, typically 1.5-3 pages in length
- Report will include diagnostic symptoms/impressions of the evaluator, risk levels, and recommendations to remedy the problem or prevent further problems related to substance use or mental health concerns
- Assessment Director is available for case consultation
Requirements
- Licensed/credentialed to diagnose DSM-5 substance use disorders (required)
- Licensed/credentialed to diagnose DSM-5 mental/emotional (a plus)
- Efficient conducting of clinical interviews
- Experience with efficiently composing assessment and recommendation reports/ documentation for courts or employers
- Proficient with Microsoft Word or similar word processing software
